Yannos Margaziotis, violin (Greece)
Yannos Margaziotis studied at the Utrecht Music Academy and the Royal Academy of The Hague. As a member of the European Youth Orchestra, he has performed in the Concertgebouw, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Salle Pleyel in Paris. As a soloist he has collaborated with the Athens State Orchestra, the Royal Danish Orchestra, the Orchestra of Contemporary Music of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation, the chamber music orchestra of the Greek National Opera, and with his Artis Piano Trio he has performed in the Athens Concert Hall, the Carnegie Hall, the Greek National Gallery, the Anneberg Festival, the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, the Nafplion Festival, among others. He is one of the founding members and Artistic Director of the International Classical Music Festival of Cyclades. He teaches Chamber Music at the Athens Conservatory and since 1994, he holds the position of first concertmaster with the Greek National Opera Orchestra.
