Seven years of classical creation
in the "Noblesse of Cyclades"!
While creating a series of six programs, I aimed to gather the traditional and the new, the known and the uncharted together, as I do every year, and to ensure that all pieces forming each concert are connected to each other. These connections have sometimes been an esthetic approach, sometimes an era, and sometimes the interactions between the geographies and the ages. Our audience, each time filling out the halls last season, have made us believe again in the currency of the concerts presented with creativity and joy and performed with the highest level, despite all of their differences.
With the repertoire we have selected from the jewells of chamber music, I believe ICMFC will exhibit its difference each time in the musical calendar of Greece with the concerts featuring the best soloists of the world . I would like to heartlily thank, the Mayor of Syros – Hermoupolis Mr.Dekavalas for his help, the City District Council, the artists who – by acknowledging our economical troubles – have reduced their fees, Mr. Markoulis, Mrs Hatjigrigoriou, Mrs Tomay and of course our Hononary President Mrs Lavrendiadi,Top sponsor for the last four years.
We are waiting for you to experience the indispensability of live music over and over again with us at the magnificent Apollo Theater, an architectural masterpiece of the 19th Century with a unique acoustic.
Yannos Margaziotis

Bjørnkjær's glorious singing tone...

His recent cd, featuring late romantic violinconcertos by Johan Svendsen and P.E. Lange-Müller, received praise
in The Strad Magazine for "Bjørnkjær's glorious singing tone" and "highly eloquent phrasing". "This violinist devoted
vehemence almost convinces us that it is a lost masterpiece" ( Svendsen)
Lars Bjørnkjær plays the 1714 Stradivarius "Yoldi-Moldenhauer". He was knighted by Queen Margrit in 1998.
